Once while playing golf, a friend who faced a shot challenged by foliage said, “Trees are 90% air.” Of course, his next shot clanked off a sturdy oak and landed behind where he had just swung. Oaks full of leaves seem sturdy. Oaks bereft of leaves seem delicate. An intricate web of twigs spread out in search of the sun.

I have a soft spot for bare branches. This is gorgeous
Thanks Chris. Where I live in Northern California most trees keep their leaves year round so it is nice to see bare branches. The proof of a cycle of life.
Sometimes I forget not every one is witnessing the seasons the way I do at my home 🙂 A bit jealous though of the always covered trees.
